The CNC Mill is a drill that is given a digital path to run that eventually creates a shape. There are hundreds of different settings and bits you can use to get countless different shapes and styles for the project you're looking for.
First I had to make the shape in inventor.
Then I had to convert the file and play with the settings. It was all in the instructions.
In the image above I have the preview for when I had oriented the project incorrectly. I went pack and changed it before the final print.
Then I loaded the material and uploaded the file.
I oriented it one more time, and then began milling.
Then I had to put my name on it!
Finish Project!
In this project I learned how to use the mill. I also got more experience with converting the files so the computer can read it. It took some doing, but I'm really pleased with out this turned out. The CNC Mill was pretty intimidating, but it was relatively simple. I had some trouble finding where to upload the file, but orienting it was pretty simple. I'm glad I got to learn how to use this tool! Always fun to learn a new program.
